Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, Countess of Monpezat, RE (Mary ElizabethDonaldson, born February 5, 1972) is the wife of Frederick, Crown Prince of Denmark.
The couple met at the Slip Inn, a bar in Sydney, when the prince was visiting Australiaduring the 2000 Olympics. His official involvement in 2003 and his marriage the following year was the subject of media attention Australians and Europeans, whoportrayed marriage as a modern fairy tale romance between a prince and acommoner.
